Pasno is a highly qualified legal professional with a diverse academic background and extensive experience in corporate, employment, and technology-related law. He holds a B.Law, LLB, and Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Fort Hare, as well as two LLM degrees—one in Cyberlaw & Information Technology Law from the University of Leeds (UK) and another with a research focus on Domain Name Dispute Resolution in South Africa from NMMU. Additionally, he has completed a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law Specialisation from UNISA.
Pasno began his career as a Law Lecturer at the Nelson Mandela School of Law (UFH), where he taught for three years. He later completed his articles at Brink Cohen Le Roux Inc and gained valuable experience at leading firms, including Bowman Gilfillan Inc and DMS Attorneys. During this time, he specialized in Labour Law, Corporate & Commercial Law, Employment & Employee Benefits, and general litigation, building a strong reputation in these fields.
With a keen interest in the intersection of law and technology, Pasno has developed expertise in IT Law, Cyberlaw, and Intellectual Property, publishing articles on internet governance, electronic commerce, and domain name disputes. His Master’s in Public Administration has further expanded his practice to include advisory roles for public institutions, particularly municipalities, where he provides guidance on employment law, governance, and executive remuneration.
Pasno also assists senior executives in dismissal disputes, employment contract negotiations, and related legal matters, combining strategic insight with a deep understanding of both private and public sector challenges.
